How To Factory Reset Nest Hello Doorbell

In this video we teach you how to factory reset your Nest Hello smart doorbell. If you just moved into a house with a Nest Hello and want to get it set up on your phone you will most likely need to factory reset your Nest Hello Doorbell so that you can get it set up. Once you factory reset your doorbell you can watch the video below to show you how to set up your Nest Hello Doorbell and get it connected to your phone.

To Factory Reset Nest Hello Doorbell:
1) Remove the Nest Hello Doorbell from it’s mounting plate. You will either need the tool that comes with the Nest Hello, or a small paperclip, safety pin or needle to remove it from the mount.
2) Press the paperclip/safety pin into the hole located on the bottom of the Nest Hello mount. This will disengage the Nest Hello from it’s wall mount so that it can be removed to be reset.
3) The power will still be on when you remove the Nest Hello doorbell from the wall so be careful not to touch the unshielded portion of the wires or the terminals on the back side of the Nest Hello. In order to reset the Nest Hello it’s a requirement that the power remain on during the reset process. You cannot reset the Nest Hello Doorbell unless it its powered up.
4) To factory reset the Nest Hello Doorbell you will need to press and hold the front doorbell button and insert the the paperclip/safety pin into the hole on the top of the back side of the nest and press and hold down both for 10 seconds at the same time. After you release the buttons typically the doorbell button will go dark then illuminate within 10-20 seconds and will typically chime or beep to let you know that the Nest Hello has been reset to factory default settings.
