In this video we show you how to factory reset your Echo Dot Gen 5. The Echo Dot Gen 5 was launched in 2022 and is different from other generations of Echo Dots in that it has LED display and it can be used as Eero Wifi Range Extender with the Eero Network.

How To Factory Reset Echo Dot Gen 5:
1. Make sure the Echo Dot Gen 5 is powered up.
2. Hold down the action button which is the round button without a line through it, you need to hold down the action button on the Echo Dot Gen 5 for approximately 15 seconds until the device says it has been reset.
3. It will both blink and tell you “resetting you device this will take about a minute” once you hear that you can release the action button.
4. It will take approximately 1 -2 minutes for your device to factory reset so that it can be set back up again.
